提起Complexity Theory, 大家可能会第一时间想到Larsen Freeman 教授,那么如何从理解复杂理论在应用语言学中的应用呢?小编今天推出Larsen Freeman 教授的牛津大学出版社访谈:

Complex, not complicated: Diane Larsen Freeman on Complexity Theory in Applied Linguistics。

"What does a complex systems view have to say about language teaching?", Diane Larsen-Freeman, series adviser for Oxford Applied Linguistics, discusses her insights into how a complex systems approach might impact on language, and the learning and teaching of it. Diane Larsen-Freeman is co-author of Complex Systems and Applied Linguistics with Lynne Cameron (OUP, 2008) and co-author of Techniques and Principles in Language Teaching (Third Edition) with Marti Anderson (OUP, 2011).

Diane Larsen-Freeman

Diane Larsen-Freeman was the director of the ELI from 2002-2008. She has been a professor of education at U-M since January 2002. Since 2003, she is also a professor of linguistics. Prior to her arrival in Ann Arbor, Diane was a professor of applied linguistics at the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont. She is, however, no stranger to the University, having earned her master's degree and doctorate in linguistics here in the mid-seventies.
